About

Hi, I'm Gem Tadefa—a writer, content creator, and the current President of Davao Bloggers Society. I’ve been blogging for over a decade, and while my content has grown and shifted through the years, one thing has stayed the same: my love for storytelling that feels real, relevant, and grounded.

This blog started as Pages Flipper back when I just wanted a space to write things down. Since then, it’s grown into a platform that lets me explore different aspects of life—whether it’s through documenting a new place, writing about a community event, or sharing campaigns I’m part of.

My work sits at the intersection of personal and professional. Some days I’m leading DBS projects, attending brand launches, or managing campaigns. Other days, I’m traveling, discovering underrated food spots, or just hanging out with my dogs. I like writing about all of it—and I believe there’s something worth sharing in both the everyday and the unexpected.

More than anything, this blog is a place where I get to show up as myself. I write the way I talk: clear, honest, and to the point. If you're here looking for something genuine—whether it’s a recommendation, a reflection, or just a story told well—I hope this space gives you that.

About the Blog

Life and Other Things is a personal blog with range. It covers stories that matter to me, features I believe in, events I’ve experienced, and content I’ve created in partnership with brands and communities. Some entries are personal. Some are collaborative. All are rooted in real-life context.

This blog is built on years of experience and a deep connection to my community—but also a curiosity to keep evolving. It’s a place where content isn’t boxed into one category, because life rarely is. It’s thoughtful, local when it matters, and always written with intention.

Thanks for reading. I appreciate the time you’re spending here.

Let’s keep the stories going.
