Tambilawan Restaurant: Sisig is Delish the Second Time Around

4:36 PM
Had a quick visit in GenSan to see my family, but never thought I would get an invitation for a branch opening of GenSan’s Halal Certified Restaurant – Tambilawan, at Robinsons Place. It’s almost a year now since my last food trip at their J.P. Laurel Street, Dadiangas East resto. And I must say that they’ve improved a lot. The first visit wasn’t that good because the food I got was honestly a bit bland. But now, it suffices me.

I’m really into Sisig and or Monggo. So every time I go to a certain resto that serves Filipino food, I always order both or either. My last Sisig food tripping at Tambilawan was quite frustrating. That’s why I requested to serve Sisig for me to compare; and I’m impressed.

Minus the appearance of the food, the taste itself is now delish. I think it would've tasted better if it was even spicier but for people who tend to like things on the sweeter side, this one is for you. The meat is now tasteful and less oily; the crushed chicken meat is juicy and easy to masticate which perfectly complements to its overall flavor. They did a great job to my Sisig this time.

But apart from ordering the Sisig, their Inasal Chicken and Buko Halo halo are both worthy to chow with. I'm so excited to go back in GenSan and the rest of their food.
