Honor X8a: A Smartphone That Packs a Punch
I recently had the opportunity to try out the Honor X8a smartphone and I must say that I was very impressed with this device.
Let me start with the design, the Honor x8a comes in three different colors: Cyan Lake, Titanium Silver, and Midnight Black. I personally used the Midnight Black finish and I must say, the color is quite unique and eye-catching. The device has a sleek and modern look with a very slim profile measuring 162.9mm (H) × 74.5mm (W) x 7.48mm (D) and weighing 179g (including the battery). The phone's fingerprint sensor is side-mounted, making it easy to access and unlock the device.
Moving on to the display, the Honor x8a boasts a 6.7-inch HONOR FullView Display with an impressive 93.6% screen-to-body ratio. The LCD screen has a resolution of 2388 × 1080 and a PPI of 391, delivering sharp and vivid images with 16.7 million colors. The TÃœV Rheinland Low Blue Light Certification ensures that the display is easy on the eyes, even after extended use. The 90Hz screen refresh rate provides a smooth and seamless scrolling experience.
Under the hood, the Honor x8a is powered by a MediaTek Helio G88 processor, with a 2GHz Cortex-A75 x 2, 1.8GHz Cortex-A55 x 6 CPU, and an ARM Mali-G52 MC2 GPU. The phone is available in two different memory and storage configurations: 6GB RAM with 128GB internal storage and 8GB RAM with 128GB internal storage. This configuration ensures that the device runs smoothly without any lag, even while running multiple applications simultaneously.
The camera is another area where the Honor x8a shines. The rear camera setup includes a 100MP main camera with an f/1.9 aperture, a 5MP wide and depth camera with an f/2.2 aperture, and a 2MP macro camera with an f/2.4 aperture. The images captured by the camera are sharp, vibrant, and detailed, with accurate color reproduction. The 5MP wide and depth camera is perfect for capturing landscape shots, while the 2MP macro camera captures stunning close-up shots. The front-facing camera is a 16MP shooter with an f/2.45 aperture, delivering clear and detailed selfies.
I'd like to share some photos that I captured using the camera on my Honor x8a. These images were taken using the standard resolution and capture settings, and I purposely refrained from applying any filters to maintain the rawness of the files.
The Honor x8a is powered by a 4500mAh battery that provides good battery life. The device also supports 22.5W Wired HONOR SuperCharge, allowing you to charge your phone quickly and efficiently.
The Honor x8a runs on Magic UI 6.1, based on Android 12, delivering a seamless and user-friendly experience. The user interface is easy to navigate, with a plethora of customization options.
For me, the Honor x8a is an excellent device with impressive features that make it stand out in the mid-range smartphone segment. The design is sleek and modern, while the display is sharp and vivid. The camera setup is one of the best in its class, and the battery life is good. If you're in the market for a mid-range smartphone, the Honor x8a is definitely worth considering.
