Together We Can: The Heartwarming Success of DBS Community Drive

Over the past few months since I began my term, I have been deeply touched by the unwavering support from numerous brands. Their unmatched generosity in all our projects and campaigns has not only propelled us forward as content creators but also strengthened us as a financially stable organization.

Recognizing these blessings, we felt a profound need to give back.

Early this year, we planned another community drive. While we’ve organized donation drives for those affected by fires and calamities and supported communities in the past, this year’s drive held a special place in our hearts. We chose Field of Dreams Children's Charity Foundation, a foundation housing neglected and orphaned minor boys. During our site visit, we discovered another foundation, Balay Banaag Center, which shelters minor girls who have survived abuse and trauma.

Determined to make a difference, I reached out to various brands for support. We were humbled to receive monetary donations from DBS members and additional support from foodpanda, Red Planet Hotels, Ripple8, Davao Doctors Hospital, International Pharmaceuticals, Inc., and SM Supermalls.

Our preparations for this community drive were meticulous and heartfelt. We provided medical checkups, hygiene kits, medical supplies, school supplies, entertainment with a magician, a bookmark-making session, linens, fans, and acrylic tables for both foundations.

Though we may have spent more than we anticipated, every effort was worth it. The success of this community drive exceeded our wildest dreams. While I am honored to serve as the President of Davao Bloggers Society, this achievement would not have been possible without the collective generosity and commitment of everyone involved.

My heart is overflowing with gratitude.

Organizing this event has been a deeply fulfilling experience. Our donation may be modest, but it was the combined effort and love of everyone that made this community drive a success. I hope the children we helped feel the warmth and care behind our support.

This is just the beginning of our journey. We are committed to continuing our efforts to help more communities in need. I am incredibly proud of what we have accomplished and eagerly look forward to our future endeavors.
