Giacomino’s Pizza Restaurant' new look!

Giacomino’s in Italian which means “Little James” was actually a franchise started by an Italian named Signore Giacomino who arrived to the Philippines in the early 70s.  He decided to settle down in the country after being charmed by our culture, the beauty of our land and of course the people. Though he enjoys the local cuisines which are purely Filipino taste, he savor by developing his own pizza which combined Italian and Filipino ingredients after missing his mother home cooked.  Thus Giacomino’s Pizza was born and in later years, had franchisees all over the Philippines, including GenSan City. I've been to 2 stores of Giacomino's in GenSan and indeed must say, it’s the leading pizza restaurant.

On Valentine's Day eve, my friends and I decided to have a Singles party at Giacomino's, East Asia Royal Hotel branch as they re-engineer the whole package from ordinary pizza restaurant into a new mini Italy look. We are dazzled by its simple look yet elegant. I'm not bias. I honestly loved the design because it’s my friend the Rain Ramas works.

The food was really nice and our waiter proposed some really nice pizza choices that were excellent with our group distinct taste. The choice in the menu is very big which scared me a little in the beginning but everything we ate was excellent; it's maybe because their dessert were indeed superb especially my fave Egg Pie. For pizza choices, I think Ottima is the flavor to beat. The kitchen is actually visible from outside and you can really see what's happening inside.

"This time, the inspiration comes from the quaint little Italian piazzas (town squares) that evoke romance, history and fantasy. That made working on this project more exciting. Mural work, simulated stone pavements, canopies, street lamps, potted plants, wrought ironwork, classic colors and other decor all work to bring the dreamy al fresco ambience into the store, creating a sharply different look from the previous store design." You must visit this restaurant when in GenSan. It is fabulous. All the usual food options but the quality is fantastic and the atmosphere is wonderful.
