market. It also has operations in General Santos City, Municipality of Surallah
in South Cotabato, and in the municipalities of Maramag and Talakag in Bukidnon.
Founded in the year 1963.
In celebration of its 50 years with the theme:
"Quality. Quality. Quality.". Dole Philippines @ 50 presents
Festivals of Festivals which commemorate the 50 Golden Years of a company that
has made its mark not only in the country, but in our lives. Together with the
Sox bloggers, yours truly got an invite to attend the said event at Polomolok
Grandstand, Polomolok, South Cotabato last June 15 Saturday. The event started with a grand parade on the main street of Polomolok, float parade and street dancing. Not to mention, the drum and lyre corps were part also.
Rain or shine, nothing's going to stop The SAINTS Dance
troupe of St. Lorenzo School Of Polomolok Inc. showing to people what a
professional performance is. Holding our nerves as we see the group performing
native dances presenting different ethnic groups in the country while heaven pours its
blessings in disguise. The three lovely ladies in front showed off to everyone
their excellent singing prowess while different cultures were performed at their
back. Indeed breathtaking performance for the dancers; and was hard for them to dance 'cause
any moment, they might slip on the floor. It was an astonishing opening program. Bravo!
Before the game is on for the Festival of Festivals
competition, there were performers invited around the region to perform like
Drum and Lyre corps of three (3) different schools in Polomolok, Cheer dancers
like NDDU Sarimanok pep squad from GenSan, Lamba Central Elementary School Chipettes
from Banga, South Cotabato and Dolefil's Manufacturing Department Cheer dancers
to name some.
In the street dancing competition, the contingents from the
town of Buluan, Maguindanao Province wowed the audience with their performance
and bagged all the awards for the street dancing competition that include Best
in Costume (P10,000 plus trophy), Best in Music (P10,000 plus trophy), Best in
Streetdancing (P10,000 plus trophy) and Best in Performance (P20,000 plus
trophy). Other groups which participated in Dolefil Festival of Festivals
Street Dancing Competition were the Tribu Palkanon, Lum alay Festival of
Tampakan, and Brgy. Cannery Site Streetdancers.
Meanwhile, Dolefil's Engineering United bagged the first
prize of the Float Competition Category A, second prize goes to Cannery
Department and Agri Department took the third prize. In the Float Competition
Category B, Tibud sa Kabukiran Cooperative took the 1st prize, Unified
Engineering was 2nd and CAMCO was third prize winner.
While waiting for the announcement of winners, Youtube sensation also known as "Random Girl and GenSan's pride Zendee Rose were invited to perform and graced the event as she sings 3 songs including her very own rendition of "I Will Always Love You".
Indeed, Dolefil come a long way now and I will personally would like to congratulate for its continuous productivity that not only the company who benefited but its employees as well and the people of Polomolok.
