ESSAY WRITING CONTEST MECHANICS
1. The “Why Do You
Love Starbucks” Essay Writing Contest will run from September 30 to October 20,
2013.
2. To join the contest,
internet users must access the Starbucks Card survey questionnaire in the
Starbucks Philippines Facebook page (www.facebook.com/StarbucksPHilippines).
3. Users must accept
Terms and Conditions of the contest.
4. Upon accepting,
users must register his/her details in the registration page with the following details:

Facebook Account (URL preferred)

Gender
ü
Age
ü
Monthly Household Income
ü
Email Address
ü
Phone Number (+63)
ü
ZIP/Postal Code
5. Participants must
answer the question "Why do you love Starbucks?" found on the survey
questionnaire.
6. Users must also
answer the succeeding questions in the survey.
7. Starbucks
Philippines will choose 1,000 winners with the best entries to the question
"Why do you love Starbucks?"
8. Entry must be in
English language and can be no longer than 100 words.
9. Entries with
profanity and vulgar language are disqualified from this contest.
10. The entries will
be judged according to the following criteria:

Creativity – 50%
User must be able to express his/her answer in a creative or artistic
manner. User’s chosen words best expresses what he/she want to convey in
his/her answer.
Ø
Adherence to topic – 50%
User must provide an answer that is directly related to the question.

11. Members of the Marketing Team of Starbucks Philippines
will be judging the entries:

12. All entries must be submitted by October 20, 2013,
11:59pm and judging of the entries will be on October 25, 2013 at the Support Center
of Rustan Coffee Corporation (G/F Urban Building, 405 Sen. Gil Puyat Ave.,
Makati City) at 5pm.
13. Participants may only submit one entry throughout the promotion
period. Participants with multiple entries will be disqualified from the
contest.
14. The announcement of winners will be on October 26, 2013.
15. The winners will be notified through registered mail.
He/she will also receive an email notification declaring him/her as a winner. Prizes of winners will be sent via courier.
16. The winners will
each receive:

One (1) P500 Starbucks Card
§
Two (2) P300 Starbucks Card
§
One (1) Leather Card Carrier
17. All employees of
Rustan Coffee Corporation including their relatives up to second degree of
consanguinity or affinity are disqualified from joining the promotion.
