Cafe Laguna: A truly Authentic Filipino Cuisine
If you love Filipino food, then I guess there is no other
place than Cafe Laguna. Authentic Filipino Cuisine being served in a very
modern Filipino designed restaurant. Just how funny that you would be eating in
a place called Cafe Laguna and you're actually in the beautiful city of Home of
the Champions: General Santos!
Café Laguna began as a labor of love for the Urbina Family.
Coming from a long line of fine cooks, Lita Urbina decided to share her
culinary talents with everyone. With the help and encouragement of her family,
she started Café Laguna and served Filipino food with distinctive taste incomparable
to this day. Food that not only was good but which brought memories of home
cooked meals shared with friends and family.
I tried Puto Bumbong (Sticky Rice) w/ Shredded Coconut and
Sugar, Tempura Fried Kang Kong, Kare-Kare, Pancit Palabok and more. The flavor
of the food is edgy compared to other Pinoy Cuisne restaurant; it has a twist
in which the delicious part of the food will remain in your tongue. Actually, that’s
the exciting part there aside from the innovation of the looks and on how they
present it to their customers; satisfying enough to try. Prices of the food
were reasonable.

General Santos City. You can check here for the list of branches near you.
Bottomline:
I am pretty satisfied with this restaurant however; I will
only give them 8/10 since I haven’t tried their real service yet. The owner
invited us to try Cafe Laguna though and she personally served us their specialties but as far as
I observed, the staff were attentive and friendly. On weekend, I will visit
them again to see this cafe real score. Again, this is a good place to visit
and eat. Ideal for people looking for a home cooked meal and definitely good
for foreigners who's looking for a real pinoy cuisine. Cafe Laguna will surely
going to leave your poor tongue wanting for more.
